Haro (La Rioja), May 18, 2026. The 3rd Viña Pomal Solidarity Race, held yesterday in the Riojan town of Haro, once again combined sport, solidarity, and wine in a successful event with over 700 participants and €3,000 raised for FARO (Association of Families and Friends of Children with Cancer of La Rioja). This organization works to improve the quality of life and well-being of children affected by cancer and their families, offering comprehensive support.
Organized by Bodegas Bilbaínas And Ferrer Sport, in collaboration with the Haro City Council, has also broken a participation record in this third edition, far exceeding the 500 registered participants of the previous year. This growth consolidates the event as one of the leading charity and sporting events in the region.
Participants in the three categories (7km, 4km or children's competition) have walked or run through some of the most emblematic and unique vineyards of Bodegas Bilbaínas, such as Viña Cores or Viña Cuervo.
After the race, attendees enjoyed a festive atmosphere in the winery, with snacks accompanied by music, as well as various raffles, which put the finishing touch on a day of camaraderie and celebration.
Once again, the initiative has combined social commitment, a healthy lifestyle and a passion for the Rioja region, perfectly aligned with the values of Bodegas Bilbaínas: social responsibility and respect for the environment.
