The Codorníu Ars Collecta collection, the house's most prestigious range of cavas Codorníu, has been recognized with a gold medal in the prestigious competition International Wine Challenge 2026 for their Blanc de Blancs Reserva Eco 2022, the only Spanish sparkling wine to achieve this award. Furthermore, this cava has been distinguished as “Great Value”, a mention that the jury awards to those wines that stand out for offering an excellent quality-price ratio.
This is a cava made from a selection of vineyards where the grapes show their greatest potential and expressiveness: chardonnay from Costers del Segre, with a continental climate; xarel·lo from the Penedès region and couple from high-altitude vineyards in Pla de Manlleu, both areas with a Mediterranean climate.
The winemaker at Codorníu, Bruno Colomer, This cava stands out. “Its creamy texture, marked by the fineness of its bubbles, and an elegance that, combined with a high acidity, opens up a wide range of gastronomic experiences”. Due to its sensory and organoleptic characteristics, it pairs perfectly with seafood, fish without sauces or raw. It also complements all types of rice dishes, lightly seasoned meats, and desserts very well.
During this year, Codorníu Ars Collecta Blanc de Blancs Reserva Eco 2022 It has also been awarded four gold medals at the international competitions Effervescents du Monde, Gilbert & Gaillard, The Drinks Business Spring Tasting, and Mundus Vini. Furthermore, within the same collection, Codorníu Ars Collecta 459 2010 was elected‘Best sparkling wine of the year 2026’'in the 365 Wines a Year Guide produced by Vivir el Vino magazine.
Codorníu Ars Collecta is Codorníu's prestigious collection of cavas. It was launched in 2016 and today comprises a total of ten cavas: three Reserva cavas (Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs and Grand Rosé); the iconic Jaume Codorníu, Josep Raventós Blanc and Rosé; three cellars of Qualified Paraje (La Fideuera, El Tros Nou and The Pleta); and the 459, considered by many to be the pinnacle of cava, with an exquisite blend of the three qualified sites. The collection has accumulated hundreds of oenological awards both nationally and internationally.
